About The Gallery

The Gallery Restaurant is a fully-licensed fine dining restaurant, which is run by our award winning Catering & Hospitality students and staff. Our Hospitality and Catering Department aims to serve cuisine of the highest quality, while helping students gain the experience and training needed to master their craft.

The Gallery Restaurant is run by students with the assistance of professional chefs. This means your experience will be similar to visiting a high-end restaurant; you’ll enjoy a three course meal with excellent standards of hospitality, a licensed bar and all within a quiet, relaxing atmosphere for a fraction of the price.

Your meal will be freshly prepared, cooked and served by our students as part of their course, all of whom pride themselves on their silver service standard of waiting. Our students love what they do and want to do well. By taking part successfully in competitions at a national level, their reputation is first-class.

Our trophy cabinet includes national winner of Rotary Chef 3 years running. We have achieved 3 Golds, 9 Silver, 9 Bronze and 8 Merits in the Wessex Salon Culinary Competition 2018. We received 2nd place in the Heat Culinary College Competition 2018 and first place in 2019 and 2020. 

 

As well as 5 Golds, 3 Silvers and 2 Bronze at Hotelympia 2018, one of our students reached the finals in the Nestle Professionals Touque D'or Competition. This is thanks to our industry-trained Lecturers, regular guest chefs, demonstrations and work placements.

“Went here again 2 weeks ago for lunch. The confit pork neck main is to die for, it melts in your mouth and the dressing is full of flavour. The service is amazing.

It is nice to support the students while they learn. Everyone needs to visit, even if it is just to try the pork!”
